Click the link for more information. . Mark met Tom Delonge Tom Delonge (born December 13, 1975) is one of the founding members, and a guitarist for, Blink-182. While attending high school in Poway, California, he met Mark Hoppus, and, joining with Scott Raynor, the three formed Blink 182. DeLonge has a side project with fellow band member Travis Barker called Boxcar Racer. Albums made with Blink-182: Flyswatter Buddha (another Blink-182 member) through his little sister, Anne Hoppus. Tom was friends with Anne's boyfriend and constantly complained about wanting to join a band. She finally introduced Mark and Tom on a fateful August night in 1992 and from there the story began. Mark Hoppus Tom Delonge and there friend Scott Raynor decided to form a band in 1992. They were originally called "blink", but an Irish techno band had that name and filed a case at court. So they changed their band name to Blink 182. In 1997, after the release of their 4th album Dude Ranch, Scott left the band to go to college. He was soon replaced by Travis Braker, who was farmiliar to Mark and Tom. They chose Travis, because he knew most of their songs.
